I’ve completed another crochet project. It’s taken me two years and 1400 miles. I started this crochet afghan before we left Texas, over a year and a half ago. This was one of the few necessities that made it into our cars and not the moving van. (read about the other necessities HERE)
I was working with small balls of yarn (the explanation for that is below) so my granny squares consist of random size and color circles squared off in red. I joined my squares in columns of eight and then joined two columns to each other leaving me with four sets of two columns. I edged each column pair in the off-white and then joined the four column pairs together with off-white. The project was finished with another couple of rows around the whole piece.
Ebb and Flow Afghan
The reason for the small balls of yarn is that I saw this gorgeous ebb and flow afghan by Joleen Kraft on Ravelry and thought surely I could wing it and figure it out. No…No, I couldn’t. Buy the pattern and save yourself much unraveling, crocheting, and re-unraveling. You can find the pattern HERE. Well worth the $5.
Here are some of the photos I took when I was still feeling optimistic about the ebb and flow project.
