I was taking a YouTube class from Debi Beard of Debi’s Design Diary. I made this painted mirror video using what she’d taught and it’s one of my favorites. Right before the world changed and people were still spending time together in tight spaces, we’d planned a class at the Habitat For Humanity ReStore here in Zionsville, IN. We ended up canceling the class, but as warmer weather rolls in and vaccines roll out hopefully, we will get this class back on the books.
This beautiful spring-inspired project was created by painting an old shiny gold mirror with DIY Paint’s Old ’57. It’s this gorgeous teal color. I used a wet towel to rub off some paint on the high points to bring the gold back through. I sealed the frame with Crystal Clear Chandelier. After cleaning any paint and sealer off of the actual reflective surface, I applied pieces of the Wander transfer. This beauty sold within days of arriving in my booth in Noblesville.
