My inlaws are treasure hunters like myself. I believe that they have a superpower. It’s the only thing that can explain the amazing things that they find. Often, I will receive a box in the mail full of vintage goodies. This jewelry box was in the most recent package.

The red velvet lining was died a deep purple by using a watered-down Bohemian Blue. The paint will work as a dye. The velvet was tough on my brush and I found that a sponge worked great too.

The outside of the box was also painted in Bohemian Blue. I then used Pennies From Heaven, the new copper liquid patina from DIY Paint with a Jami Ray Vintage stencil on the top and sides of the box. The stencil was from the Spanish Tile Four Pack.
